I moved away and haven't been here in a while, but I really miss this place. Great, affordable Chinese food. Everything on the menu is good. Fried rice was consistently great. Highly recommended! One more thing to mention- the atmosphere and decor here is simple, but nice. Certainly better than most other places with food in this price range.

Was driving home the other day and decided I would order Chinese takeout since I was passing through Canal Winchester. The young man who took my order was very clear, concise, and polite. (Hey, ordering Chinese is sometimes hard to do with language barriers a lot of times, so good English is a major plus!) The inside of the store is your typical small family run Chinese restaurant. We ordered two lunch combos for $5.15 a piece. Portion size and food was very good. Unlike a previous poster for this establishment, 'Ol 1 Review Pete who said the food needed to be more spicy, I ordered the General Tso's Chicken. Some restaurants make it sweeter and some make it spicier. This place definitely leaned toward the spicier side. I will return if I'm in Canal again an am craving Chinese food.

Love this place! I particular love their Asian tofu veggie soup. It is healthy and filling as a meal. They do not use MSG in anything.

I have been eating here for five years. The food is always fresh and delicious and the portions are great. The owners are always there ensuring quality control. I can't say enough nice things about it.

I'm tired of my order being wrong here. The last two times I've ordered from them I've received the wrong dish. Nevermind that whoever it is answering the phone seems annoyed by the fact that a customer would dare call them to order something. The food they make tastes just fine but I will not go back. Rude and they can't get an order right.

First time trying Dragon China. I will return. Fried rice was excellent. Nice size portion for the money. They have online ordering that is very easy to use. After I placed the order they called to confirm and make sure I knew where they were located. nice touch! Food prepared in clear view and kitchen is very clean.

I'm always willing to try new Chinese restaurants when I'm traveling and was pleased to see this place getting good reviews. We checked it out and was very happy with it. The General Tso's shrimp was excellent! This is not the most common dish to find at Chinese restaurants but it is one of my favorites. Nice portion sizes (my fellow diners who ordered the lunch comb plats for five dollars were thrilled with how much soup they got). Everything was fresh and hot and the food had an extra bit of quality to it that definitely put it above many take out Chinese places. My only complaint was that they offered bottles and cans and didn't have a soda fountain. Even the water was bottled. I'm someone who likes to drink a lot of water with my meal, so I was a bit disappointed that I was going to have to pay by the bottle. Nice, clean place, great selection, and reasonable prices. They had a steady stream of locals picking up takeout while we dined in, so that's always a good sign, too.

We ordered Sesame Chicken to go. This was our first visit here. The chicken tasted like it had ketchup or sloppy Joe mix on it. It certainly didn't taste like any sesame chicken we have ever had before. We will give the place another try but we were disappointed after reading all the great reviews. 2 stars is it for now.

I go here every week, and have never had a bad experience. I have tried several things on the menu and never had any issues. It's not the cleanest, but I've seen worse at chinese restaurants. It is very inexpensive for their lunch menu and food is always out super quick. I love Dragon China!

I judge most Chinese places on one thing, hot and sour soup. Being new to the area, I was one happy girl to discover Dragon China has great soup AND other stuff. I'm in love with the cold sesame noodles. They have a spicy peanut sauce, noodles and crunchy fresh vegetables. The Singapore Chow Mei Fun noodles are delicious if you're a curry fan. I'm excited to try new things, especially the pad Thai and other spicy dishes. My takeout orders are accurate, affordable and on time. That's all I really want for a Chinese food joint. Well, that and great soup.

We just moved here and needed a quick Chinese food fix. The portion size is small compared to our favorite spot back home but I have became addicted to their crab ragoons! They are soooooo yummy! Freshly prepared by hand (which I saw for myself) not a bad spot! Will be going there weekly for my quick fix! I gave four stars due to the portion size. The general chicken family portion is for two ppl one if you have a greedy hubby like mine lol

My family has gotten take out several times now and every single time its perfect. The place is incredibly clean. The food is not greasy, it doesnt even smell greasy in the restaurant. Special orders were taken with no hassles, service was very friendly. The meat in all the chicken and beef dishes we've tried has been lean. When my husband orders things extra spicy they actually make it that way. I would 100% recommend this place! An average meal doesnt cost much more than a combo at a drive-thru and its real, freshly made food, and you get leftovers for the next day!

As a rule, the food here is very tasty. However, they have no clue on making food spicy. I've asked for all my spicy dishes to be a 10 on a 1 - 10 scale, but, they never even hit a 1. It seems they have standard recipes and short of removing vegetables from a dish, they won't alter. If you're after spicy food, go someplace else.

Went there and got one of their lunch specials. I got General Tso's, and the food was decent. It is better than most on taste for Chinese takeout, but I have had better. Also, the portion size was a little smaller than what I am used to from one of the other places I like to go. They have signs all over the interior of their store saying that they placed in the "Top 100 Takeouts", but nowhere does it actually say specifically where they placed, or how big of an area that the top 100 list covers. They also have plenty of signs up inside to tell you that there is no MSG in your food, which I guess is nice for those who are really worried about it.

I've gone to Dragon China many times over three or more years and have almost always had a good experience. But the last couple times have been bad. Tonight the food was very bland. My wife ate some around 6 pm when I first brought it home. At 8 pm I heated the remainder up for my meal. There was very little flavor. When I mentioned it to my wife, she agreed and said it was the worst we had ever received from there. I called and told them the story and the guy on the phone seemed to not care. I asked if they were under new management or if the chef wasn't new and he said no. His suggestion was for me to return with the remainder of the meal (about five bites remained) and he would replace it. Not quite the answer I was looking for. I would have to take another 35 minutes out of my night plus gas, to correct their disgusting meal that I had already spent money, gas and time to get? And we had already eaten anyway. I have to give them a rating of one because of the last couple times we have been there. I guess you can go at your own risk. I know that I will think twice before ordering from Dragon China again.

My girlfriend and I had a less than great experience here. Egg rolls were fairly tasteless, Hunan chicken wasn't flavorful. Boneless spare ribs were the best part of the meal and they weren't great. Neither one of us felt good after the meal.

Great Chinese food. This place is great for take out. Orders take about 10 minutes on average and everything I've had is good. Generous portions too. You CAN eat in, and the place is clean, and they'll bring the food to your table, but don't eat there if you care about atmosphere. There isn't any (which doesn't bother me). If you're shopping at Winchester Square, you can drop in and eat and be on your way about as fast as any of the fast food places. Can't ask much more than that.

I dig this little Chinese takeout joint a ton. General Tso's made with quality chicken you say? They've got it. Egg rolls that don't leave you wondering "what is this filling?" They've got those too. As with most takeout places, the quality can vary quite a bit. Sometimes the Sesame Chicken is rad, and sometimes it's tough and weird tasting. Sometimes the fried rice tastes like fried rice, and sometimes it tastes like overdone steamed rice. This place is definitely way better than average. I mean, they placed in the top 100 Chinese Restaurant competition...whatever that means! They sport some great lunch specials too. I need to take advantage of them more often.

For the price, it cant be beat. Sure i have had better Chinese food at some sit down places, but for $15 for two people, its really a steal. Ive never had anything from there i wouldn't get again. My favorites on the menu are General Tso chicken, sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls and spring rolls and highly suggest trying the hot and sour soup. Its pretty authentic food too, so some people who prefer "Americanized Chinese" wont find it particularly good. The service is good, although its tough to understand the staff sometimes because they speak English as a second language, but that is the price you pay for authentic food.

I am always weary of Chinese places and few really taste good enough for me to revisit. This place has been good for the past 7-8 years I have been coming here. The egg rolls are good, and I really have never had a bad meal at this location. As a picky eater, I think this is probably one of few Chinese restaurants in the Columbus and surrounding areas that I will eat.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
